Podcast 1 Galicia

Podcast 2 Las Fallas

What is a Podcast?

Think of a Podcast as "radio on demand" where you choose to download the programme's audio content and listen to it on your portable audio device such as an Apple iPod or any other mp3 player. You can also download the audio to a computer or laptop and listen to it via the computer's audio software player installed.

What do I need to be able to listen to a Podcast?

All of our Podcasts can be listened to on any computer - typical media player software includes Windows Media Player and Real Player from Real Networks. Of course, all of our Podcast audio files can be downloaded and played on any mp3 player. An Apple iPod is NOT the only player on which a Podcast can be heard!

Why should I use the espaņol eXtra Podcasts?

There are many many different uses for the Podcasts available here. Essentially, they provide a 'take-away' service for extra listening material on a range of culturally important topics for learners of Spanish. Remember, they are produced by native speakers, so all accents, vocabulary and content are authentic and contemporary. You can download the audio, listen to it, download or print off the accompanying transcript, vocabulary sheet and comprehension question material and work through the exercises at your own pace. They are an excellent, fully updated source of listening material for teachers and learners of Spanish.

When will the Podcasts be available for download?

The first Podcast is here! The aim is to release new Podcasts as frequently as possible, perhaps every fortnight where possible.

Will the Podcasts be free?

The Podcasts will be free to access.
